Winner and more Good Friend

Char in Southern California you are the winner! If you weren't the winner this time, don't worry more candy on Friday!

Sorry the pic is blurry. I used my husband's camera and it's even worse than mine. This is another card in my set of cards using Good Friend and Parisian Breeze dp. The card base is kraft with a baja breeze layer. I used this wide chocolate ribbon and my nestabilities. Otherwise a very simple card. The butterfly from this set is so pretty, I think it just makes everything look pretty too!

I've been trying to finish this set of cards but with the baby teething, I haven't been getting very much sleep and then I have some work issues which are stressing me out. I hope to get all that straightened out and find some time to stamp. Have a good Wednesday everyone.

Mojo Monday

First, don't forget about the blog candy here! This is part of a set of cards and a holder that I made that I hope to be showing you this week. This card used the current Mojo Monday sketch. The paper is baja breeze kraft and Parisian Breeze DP from SU. The stamp set is from the current mini catalog and its called Great Friend.

I hope that everyone had a great weekend. Last night, my daughter woke us up with whining and eventually screaming from some new teeth coming in. We think it's got to be molars because she hardly whimpered when her first ones came. She was up all day crying and carrying on so it was a super long day for us. We ended up going for a drive this morning hoping to settle her down ( she had Tylenol, baby orajel, teething rings, cold towels the whole bit!). Didn't work too good but I hope that she's over it enough so we can sleep. Saturday, we went to the beach for a walk and then we helped my step-daughter find a prom dress. So it was busy, busy, busy.

To win is easy! Just leave me a comment on this post by next Tuesday and I will select a winner using on Wednesday. If you are a subscriber, you may leave a second comment.

It has cooled down considerably! This weekend will be busy with the usual laundry and cleaning up. But my step-daughter has to find her prom dress this weekend so I'll be doing that. Along, with making taking a walk on the beach with my dh and my mini me's. Plus, my mom wants me to bring the little guys over her house for a visit and I have to go to Sears to order some more prints of Lily for my mom. And, I want to try and finish Lily's birthday invitations and a couple of card projects too! Ok..that's a long list but I have to keep my 21/2 year old busy or he'll destroy the house! I hope that you all enjoy your weekend!

Bird-Day sketch challenge

Hi everyone. Today at work it will be busy, busy busy! We have a guest author coming to speak in the library today, we're on special schedule because of state testing and I have a class coming in for some research as well as the usual stuff. Anyhow, here is today's card. I made it for the Verve stamps sketch challenges from last week. I used the SAB ribbon and Delicate Dots DP. The base cardstock is so saffron and the scalloped square is kraft. I used this fun pun stamp set from SU, colored in with copics and the belly is paper pieced. It's a simple card but I like the colors. I hope that everyone is doing well. Hope to see you all tomorrow for this week's giveaway.

Hot, Hot, Hot

Here is today's card! This is an all SU card except for the orange brads. The cupcake is from Crazy for Cupcakes and the paper is SU DP called Sherbert. It's very bright and funky! The cupcake is paperpieced and I added orange stickles to the icing. The cardstock used is green galore.

This weekend was hot, hot, and it was like over 100 degrees yesterday! So I haven't felt too much like stamping. I even got to take a 2 hour nap on Sunday. I would've normally snuck away for some crafting time but I opted for the nap instead. We also bought a new bbq grill this weekend too. I can't wait to use it! Hope you all aren't too hot wherever you are! Don't forget the blog candy below! Talk to you all soon.

Late Easter Gift

Hi, I just wanted to show you all this simple gift that can be adapted to any occasion. It's just a office binder clip. I decorated the front with this egg and chick from A Good Egg stamp set from SU and colored in with my copics. I cut my egg out and mounted it on a thin piece of cardboard from a cereal box for some extra weight and covered the back with dp. I then adhered it to my binder clip and created this fun photo holder! Very easy and cheap!!

I have to go to a meeting most of the day today at the District Office. I'm on the technology committee and we have to rewrite our district plan which helps us get e-rate and other discounts through the state and federal government. Ok it sounded boring just typing this and I have to go all day!

To win this candy is easy, just leave a comment on this post. If you are a subscriber, you may leave 2 comments. Let me know what you're doing this weekend. Our weekend will be something outside, cuz it's going to be 80!

MFT Idol Judge Contest & Winner

Sorry I haven't posted a creation since Sunday. I've just been busy working on this project for MFT. They are having a MFT Idol contest, like American Idol, this week they are challenging anyone to create a top notch project using their stamps so that's what I've been working on. So here is my project.

For the MFT Idol Judge Challenge, I made paper dolls! I used the "nugget" tins that were so popular last year to create a case to house my dolls. The front of the tin is decorated using Maine Blueberry SU paper, SU buttons and The Works Alphabet by CTMH.On the back of the tin, I adhered a trimmed down clear envelope to house removable backgrounds for my doll to "play" on. The dolls, outfits, etc are from MFT's Isabelle Paper Dolls Stamp set.

This is one of the backgrounds that I created for my dolls to play on. This background is a beach scene. I used Maine Blueberry SU DP for the background. The waves are made for Pacific Point Cardstock and the steam part of the cup stamp from Bunny Slippers. The kraft "sand" has shells from By the Seashore. The cloud is from Rain or Shine and the birds stamped on it as well as the seagull are both from By the Seashore. My doll is wearing a mermaid outfit that has some glitter on it and is colored with copics

For this background, I used MFT's Meet Me at the Cafe for the cafe sign and awning. The table was from Window Shopping. The dp is from SU.

This background was created using SU Urban Garden DP. The MFT stamp set here was Going Places.

This background is just a plain piece of Haiku DP so the dolls can do whatever they want!

MaryBeth you are the winner~ Please email me with your address. My email is on the side under my picture. Don't forget to check back on Friday with another heart candy!

The flower and button are from my stash. A simple card but I like all the pink!

Winner & Mojo Monday

Jennifer from Cut it at Creations - you are the winner! if you didn't win, don't worry there will be more blog candy on Friday!

Here is my Mojo Monday card. I used the stamp set from SU called Good Egg and SAB Delicate Dots paper and celery ribbon. I paperpieced the egg shell and the larger egg. The sentiment is popped up on dimensionals. I'm really happy with how it came out!

Thanks for everyone's kind wishes regarding my spring break. It got off to a rough start. Baby Lily got pink eye late last week and then she had a reaction to the antibiotic. Poor baby could barely see out of one eye it was so swollen and then she got hives from the antibiotic. I took her back to the dr. on Monday. She was pretty grumpy most of the day. I am happy to report that she is back to her super smiley self and her eye is nearly healed! Yesterday, I went shopping with my sister. She has a 3 month old and its hard for her to get out but her husband is on spring break too so we were both able to go to the mall with no kids! It went way too fast. I bought a new purse, it's huge! I just got tired of cramming all my stuff into my existing purse. It was just bursting. We had a great coupon for The Limited so we spent a lot of time and some money there! Then we met our friend at BJ's Pizza for lunch. So now I 'm enjoying my time off!
